We’re excited to announce the launch of our new Preschool Days Program, beginning this fall and continuing through the 2025–26 school year. Funded by Nemours Children’s Health, the initiative introduces preschool-aged children (ages 3–5) and their caregivers to agriculture, nutrition, and the natural world through play-based, sensory-rich experiences at the 4Roots Farm Campus.
Designed to align with the Orange County Public Schools calendar, the program will be held once a month during the school year and offer engaging, 1-hour sessions for small groups of up to 15 children and their caregivers. Each session will follow a consistent, farm-focused structure featuring a carefully selected storybook tied to a monthly theme, a wholesome book-inspired snack, and a guided craft or hands-on activity to spark creativity and support fine motor development.
“The Preschool Days Program is about planting seeds of curiosity in the youngest members of our community,” said John Rivers, Founder and CEO of 4Roots. “By connecting children to the farm early in life, we can nurture an appreciation for healthy food, the natural world, and the joy of learning alongside their families.”
Thanks to Nemours’ support, participation is offered at a nominal fee of $10 per adult/child pair, making it accessible for families while supporting high-quality, nature-based education.
“At Nemours, we believe that lifelong health starts early,” said [Insert Nemours Representative Name & Title]. “Partnering with 4Roots allows us to provide families with opportunities to explore healthy habits, food, and nature in ways that are fun, engaging, and developmentally appropriate for preschoolers.”
The Preschool Days Program reinforces 4Roots’ mission to educate, connect, and inspire communities by reshaping how children and families think about food, farming, and health — starting at the earliest ages.
