Give your little one the chance to learn, play, and experience adventures in agriculture with 4Roots Pre-K Days, a monthly program designed just for preschool-aged children (ages 3–5) and their caregivers!
In partnership with Nemours Children’s Health, this series introduces children and families to agricultural and nutrition concepts through sensory-rich, play-based experiences that spark curiosity about food, farming, and the environment.
Each Session Features
📖 Storytime: A thoughtfully chosen picture book connected to the month’s theme
🥕 Snack: A wholesome, theme-inspired treat
🎨 Activity: A guided craft or hands-on activity that encourages creativity, fine motor skills, and discovery
By blending reading, food, and nature-based play, children and caregivers can enjoy meaningful time together while building early learning skills.
🦋 September’s Theme
We’ll read Señorita Mariposa by Ben Gundersheimer as we learn about monarch butterflies, their incredible migration, and enjoy a delicious snack to fuel us for flight! This month’s story will be presented in both Spanish and English.
